Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
How Can severe Ear Pressure Along With Sinus Be Treated?
For 14 days, I have had pressure in my ears and sinuses. Tenderness in my glands under ears. Small about of mucus in the morning. I have a stye in one eye for 8 days that hasn t fully cleared. No fever. Small cough in the morning. 43 female, non-smoker. Excellent health otherwise.
Very likely you are having a viral infection and it is taking its time to completely go away. If no fever and no severe headaches you don't need special treatment but just drink plenty, do some nasal lavage with saline solution 2-3 times a day to help the sinuses clear up. sometimes local nasal steroids may help improve quicker.
Pressure in the ears can last for a few weeks up to 2-3 months in some cases and in adults it is not of much concern unless it is beyond 2 months and needs to be investigated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Antoneta Zotaj General & Family Physician
